Attention: Outdoor Brands and PR Firms representing outdoor brands
Outdoor brands of all sizes need to find new ways to get their products and services in front of consumers at the point of need. Consumers rely heavily on their friends and social graph when making purchasing decisions. Trail Sherpa’s 5 Essentials of Outdoor Adventure brings these interests together. Sponsorship opportunities are now available.
A few months ago, we hosted the Hydration Summit to give outdoor enthusiasts a place to explore and discuss a wide range of hydration topics.
Now we’re framing out the next four projects that, along with the Hydration Summit, will round out what we are calling the 5 Essentials of Outdoor Adventure. The remaining four projects will explore the gear, nutrition, shelter, and skills.
Much like the Hydration Summit, these four new projects will shape lively discussions on a collection of dedicated websites. Trail Sherpa and a team of contributing bloggers will host the conversations where visitors can join in and contribute. We will publish two posts each week that are designed to spark conversation about the product, services, and best practices for each of the essentials.
Each project is a managed content marketing campaign that will spark conversations about gear, nutrition, shelter, and skills that goes much deeper than just the standard issue gear review.
Each project site in the 5 Essentials of Outdoor Adventure series will be integrated with the other four to promote cross-navigation and afford visitors the opportunity to pass from one Essentials site to another.
For visitors to each of the four project sites (and including the existing Hydration Summit site), conversations covering a full spectrum of relevant topics will be presented. Visitors will have an opportunity to contribute their experiences, ask questions, and interact directly with thought leaders from the outdoor blogging community and from brand sponsors. In addition, visitors will have the opportunity to take advantage of special discounts from the brand sponsors and even win free gear in giveaways hosted by each project site.
Outdoor brand sponsors will gain targeted brand awareness delivered by the social sharing activities of the contributing bloggers and the visitors to the site. Additionally, the value of the created content in the intermediate and long term will drive a steady stream of visitors to the Essentials sites and on to the brand sponsor’s website. The SEO impact on the generated content will provide value long after the initial campaign concludes.
There is also a big benefit shared by both the brand sponsors and visitors to the site. Each Essentials site provides would-be consumers a venue to discuss and explore new products with their peers and outdoor enthusiasts that have already used a given product or service. Brands can contribute to these live interactions to answer questions or drive the conversations deeper.
Become a Brand Sponsor
Trail Sherpa is seeking 5 brand sponsors that are complimentary but not competing for each of the four projects . That means that the 5 brands that sponsor the Gear Essentials campaign, for example, will collectively represent a wide range of products with little to no overlap. The project will run for 3 months with an option to extend it indefinitely.
If you’re interested in becoming a sponsor of any of the Essentials projects, please contact me directly.
